This beautiful children’s story was my first illustration experience. The story’s setting of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont is near and dear to my heart, and the illustrations came naturally. This project allowed me to dive deep into watercolors and strengthen my painting skills. I enjoyed painting the detailed leaves and tiny animals, while also utilizing the messy freedom that watercolor allows for.
